How much does a wedding photo booth cost?

Weddings sit above the overall photo booth market, because receptions run longer and most couples want prints designed to their invitation. Across US bookings, the middle half of weddings paid $631 to $1,305, and the top tenth paid $1,973 or more.

What changes the price of a wedding photo booth?

The booth

An open-air booth is the most-booked wedding format: it fits the whole bridal party in one frame and keeps the dance-floor energy going. A glam booth adds beauty lighting and an editorial black-and-white portrait. A vintage enclosed booth brings the curtain, the bench and the classic strip, and sits in its own tier because it's the largest piece to deliver. Our guide to types of photo booths compares them.

The hours

Most couples run the booth from cocktail hour through the last dance, which usually means four hours or more. Longer rentals cost more in total and less per hour: nationally, the median four-hour rental is about $800 against $699 for three.

Prints and design

A print in every guest's hand, laid out to match your invitation, monogram or florals, is what most couples remember. Print and design are where wedding packages separate from entry-level rentals.

The date and the venue

May, June and December hold the most events in the market. Venues with long load-ins, stairs or a separate ceremony and reception space can add setup time, and venues outside the provider's home area can add travel.

What should a wedding photo booth package include?

  • A host at the booth all night, guiding guests and keeping the line moving between toasts.
  • A professional camera and studio lighting, so every guest looks their best, from grandparents to the flower girl.
  • A print layout designed to your wedding, with a proof to approve weeks ahead.
  • Prints and phone copies, plus the full gallery for the two of you afterward.
  • Setup confirmed with your venue and coordinator, finished before guests arrive.
  • A certificate of insurance for the venue.
  • One all-in price, travel and design included.

How many hours should you book for a wedding?

Four hours covers most receptions: cocktail hour, dinner breaks and the dance floor. Couples with a long dance set often book five. If your timeline is tight, open the booth after dinner, when guests are up and moving.

How to compare wedding photo booth quotes

  1. Match the hours. Compare four hours to four hours, including setup.
  2. Match the output. Prints, phone copies and the final gallery, in the format you want.
  3. Look at real weddings. Ask for photos from receptions like yours and read reviews from couples.
  4. Check the design process. Who designs the print, and when you see the proof.
  5. Ask for the all-in number. Travel, design and the host included.

Wedding photo booth cost questions

How much is a photo booth for a wedding?

Nationally, wedding photo booths typically cost $631 to $1,305, with a median of $886, according to Check Cherry booking data as of August 2026. Our wedding packages and starting prices are on the wedding page.

Why do some wedding photo booths cost more?

The booth type, the hours, custom print design, a host for the whole night and the venue all move the price. Glam and vintage booths sit above open-air, and longer receptions cost more in total.

How far in advance should we book a wedding photo booth?

As soon as your date and venue are set. Spring, early summer and December dates are the busiest of the year, and booking early gives the print design its full timeline.

Is a deposit required?

A 50% deposit reserves your date with us, and the balance is due 30 days before the wedding.

Do you travel for weddings outside Orange County and Los Angeles?

Yes. San Diego, the Inland Empire and destination weddings are quoted with travel built into one all-in price.
